My Bonnie Lies Over The Ocean

It's an old folk tune from Scotland that most people have heard.

The second song is:

All In A Garden Green

I believe it is English. Both of the songs this month will play on a standard Richter tuned harmonica without any bends.

I understood this was Marcy’s forum. I have memories of a number of past members who have dropped out. Perhaps some will drop in again. Even new members join saying what they play but we never hear their posts. We just carry on. I’m sure that Macy’s husband used to accompany her on his guitar.

They still play music together and do live shows. I recently got a notification about their new album. Marcy is playing more guitar now in addition to her vocals. Her husband plays banjo. Together they are known as the Tin Cup Rattlers.

My Bonnie. Recorded on my cell phone using a voice recorder app. Lee Oskar Low D harmonica, standard tuning. Played an octave up on the Low D because playing on the low end of a standard harp would require a draw 3 bend.

Had to be careful about the harmony notes when playing higher on a Richter harp. Partial or truncated chords and rhythms in some places.
