Hello everyone! I've been a harmonicist for a while now and the ~~addiction~~ hobby has taken over my life! I'm very into blues harp but I also have a deep fascination for pre-war harmonica.

Lately I've been getting into a mix of jug band tunes and French Canadian musique à bouche

Here's a little taste of what I've been up to:

I learned this tune from Phil Wiggins this summer and it has been stuck in my head ever since! It may leave but it comes right back!

Looking forward to learning from everyone and sharing stories and tunes.

Welcome drblues! Glad you joined up. I have a good friend and harmonica player in Barrie, Ontario. Yeah, that's a catchy little tune that Phil taught you. Are you using a pre recorded backing track or are you multi tracking and playing the guitar also? I hope you join in and enjoy learning some good old folk songs. Thanks for the welcome! Is your friend Mr Platt? Had the pleasure of hearing him perform last year. It was pre recorded but it was pre recorded by me - still working on the wizardry of doing both at once! I saw and love the song of the month thread and hope to join in next month if not this one!
