A few weeks ago I posted that my wife had been become unwell and having been stabilised and assessed had undergone an operation. She recovered very well and after a week in hospital was sent home to await the results of the histology.

Whilst she now appears to be quite well, the results show that she has glioblastoma multiforme 4, which is an incurable brain cancer.

Next Monday she begins a six week course of intensive radiotherapy that will hopefully slow the cancer for a while, however the prognosis for GBM4 is, on average 11-15 months.

Ian you will go through a sad time. You’ll think your life is lost. But with a little time you’ll find that life goes on. Memories will linger forever. But your interest in life will return. I guarantee this because I went through a similar torment with my wife who lost her life.
